Preparations are already well underway for the 2009 Saddleworth Village Olympics.

Soggy Supporters

Thanks to everyone who came to support the events this weekend

- especially those who braved the bogs and puddles at Churchill to support the Netball
 

Churchill Fields

We've had quite a few events cancelled this year because the state of Churchill Playing fields.
Thanks to Jill who captured the moment perfectly when she snapped these ducks splashing around in the large pools of water in the middle of the Rugby field.

As there were seven of them, it seemed just perfect to have one for each village!

But the location has changed to Saddleworth School
7-9s at 9:00
10-11s at 1:00 pm

The Basketball event is still on as scheduled at Saddleworth School from 17:30 on Friday

Hi Everyone,
Sorry to say that due to the state of the pitches and track at Churchill, I'm afraid we've had to cancel the Athletics this Saturday.

We will try to make re-arrangements, please keep coming back to the Web Site for updates

Getting Close Now!

Next Saturday the opening ceremony will start the 2008 Village Olympics at Churchill.
We'll be there taking photos to capture those special moments and you'll find everything published up here on the Internet.

Sorry to announce that the 2008 Swimming Event has had to be cancelled, as we've been advised that the pool will be closed in September.
